At JKI Anugerah, we love God through serving others. We believe that each person has a share of truth and we need one another to grow. Our differing gifts and strengths create a loving community. Nama dan Sejarah Gereja

Nama: Jemaat Kristen Indonesia Anugerah / Grace Indonesian Christian Fellowship.
Affiliasi: Pacific Southwest Mennonite Conference.
Tahun 1989 Pdt. Handojo dan istri bertemu dengan Ibu Dina Boon lewat Ibu Ruth Heck dan memulai persekutuan doa di rumah Ibu Boon. Akhir 1990 persekutuan keluarga berkembang menjadi 30-50 orang dari 10-13 macam bangsa. Pdt. Handojo kemudian memulai kebaktian perdana gereja JKI Anugerah pada tanggal 19 September 1992 di gereja Free Methodist Church, Pasadena. Selanjutnya pindah ke Sierra Madre Congregational Church, 191 West Sierra Madre Blvd., CA 91024 sampai sekarang.

Tujuan Gereja JKIA: Mengapa Kita Ada

JKIA ada sebagai sarana dan alat untuk membawa pemerintahan Tuhan (Kerajaan Allah) dan kemuliaan Allah dengan cara mengerjakan Perintah Agung (Great Commandment, Matius 22:36-40, Ul. 6:5) dan Amanat Agung (the Great Commission, Matius 28:18-20).

  1. PENGINJILAN- Memberitakan Injil Yesus Kristus kepada semua orang mulai dari orang Indonesia dan bangsa-bangsa lain di seluruh dunia (Matius 28:18-20, Kis 1:8, 2 Petrus 3:9) dan menggarami dunia dengan keadilan dan perdamaian Tuhan (Matius 5:13-16)
  2. PERSEKUTUAN - memelihara hubungan dengan sesama jemaat dengan saling mendoakan, mengasihi, menguatkan, dan membagikan hidup (Yohanes 13:34-35, Ibrani 10:23-25, Roma 15:5-7, I Yoh 1:7).
  3. PEMURIDAN - mendidik dan melengkapi jemaat menjadi orang Kristen dewasa yang berkarakter, hidup dipimpin oleh Roh Kudus, memegang prinsip-prinsip Alkitab dan effektip melayani Tuhan. (Gal. 5:22-25, Efesus 4:11-16, , Timotius 2:2, 1Kor. 12:27-31)
  4. PENYEMBAHAN - memelihara hubungan kasih dengan Tuhan melalui:
    1. persekutuan pribadi tiap hari dengan Tuhan dan FirmanNya
    2. Terlibat dalam kebaktian-kebaktian umum dengan sesama Tubuh Kristus. (Matius 18:20, Yoh. 4:24)
  5. PENYEMBUHAN - ikut aktip menolong dan melayani sesama yang memerlukan kebutuhan-kebutuhan fisik, mental, sosial dan spiritual, baik dalam jemaat, komunitas, dan dunia pada umumnya (1 Petrus 4:10-11, Matius 25:34-40, 1 Tesalonika 5:11, Galatia 5:13)

Rev. Handojo completed his Ph.D., CFLE in Marriage & Family Studies from Fuller School of Psychology, with Master Degrees in Theology, Christian Leadership, and Inter-cultural Studies. His experience includes more than twenty years in pastoral ministry as a church planter and pastoral trainer. He serves on the board of the US and West Coast Mennonite Central Committee (http://mcc.org/) and the Reference Committee of Cross-Cultural Relations in the Mennonite Church USA (http://www.mennoniteusa.org/). He serves as Associate Professor of Behavioral Sciences at California Baptist University (http://calbaptist.edu/) and adjunct professor at Chapman University and Hope International University. He is a full member of American Psychological Association (http://www.apa.org/), American Anthropological Association (http://www.aaanet.org/) and National Council on Family Relations (http://www.ncfr.org/).
